Tarte TSV- Waitlisted... experience on wait time?

My mom called to tell me she ordered me the Tarte TSV in Light... but said she got it on Waitlist. As I have never ordered anything on Waitlist status, I have no experience with it. Can anyone tell me what to expect as far as delivery time... is there the possibility of not receiving it at all? I was hoping to get it soon, as it seems more of a summer kit. Thanks so much!
