Tarte TSV - Question about packaging for eyeshadows

Let me first say that this is a beautiful kit! All the colors are wonderful and the packaging is lovely . . . I for one am sick of getting (and paying for) cheap cosmetic cases (which we all have a plethora of) like the throwaway one in the recent Bare Minerals TSV (which I returned because I hated it). The shadows were a powedery mess, and the lip glosses were downright painfull (IMO).

But I have a question: In the accompanying Tarte booklet, it shows the eyeshadow pallette opening sort of like doors from the front middle, yet the way mine is constructed you have to pull out each side to get to the shadows, making it much larger & unwieldy on a sink or vanity. Am I doing something wrong, or perhaps they changed the packaging after the brochure was printed? Small stuff, I realize, but I wondered if anyone else had the same thought?
