I was so excited about this kit, but not sure it is working for me. First off, the lipstick is not a good shade on me. On me it looks a bit "bubble-gummy" and I really won't wear it. I bought the kit for the foundation and eye duo though, so wore those today and LOVED the way I looked when I left the house.

I applied maracuja oil first (that was how the pamphlet instructions read - start by moisturizing with the oil) then applied the foundation which looked beautiful, dewy and medium-full coverage on me. I wore the shadow and the liner on the inner rim. Shadow was a bit "tuggy" and I own many long-asting cream shadow sticks, so that wasn't a good sign. It sort of felt the way waterproof eyeliners get when they are too old or dried out a bit. I did use a teeny bit of oil to help blend it out more. Mascara was not my favorite. It did not seem to thicken at all, but did have lengthening properties. I prefer the LCL mascara so that was a bit dissappointing but not a deal breaker. Applied my own AC blush and lipstick and good to go!

It's been about 5 hours and my foundation does not look good. It seems to have faded substantially, I needed to apply powder to touch my face up for the first time in months (I've been wearing either the AC foundation or my Zuzuzu Luxe foundation up until today). My forehead has a bit of a bumpy texture now too so I'm wonding if the foundation has irritated my skin.... my eyeshadow looks perfect - no creasing whatsoever, and no fading. But my inner rims look red. I can't tell if its because the color brown in the liner has faded to a reddish color or if they are irritated...

I'm going to wait a few days then try it all again without applying the liner on my inner rim and WITHOUT using the maracuja oil as the moisturizer. I usually use an SPF moisturizer, so didn't want to load up with that much SPF, so not sure what I will use as a base next time. I was so looking forward to this kit.

I have never returned a Tarte kit before and have been on AD for the last 2 TSVs! Hopefully day two will have better results.
