I know there is a lot of concern about this, so I thought I would give my opinion FWIW.
I never thought much about it until we started talking about it. So I asked DH what he thought. He told me he didn't think there would be any problem unless I put my face powder in an area where I wouldn't use face powder! And I don't eat it. So I stopped worrying, and I continue to enjoy my makeup!
Please realize this is my opinion only. We all have to decide ourselves, and I certainly wouldn't think anyone who has a strong feeling about staying away from talc is more or less informed. ![]()

I stopped using talc (where I wouldn't use makeup lol) years and years ago. I'm not concerned about it in my makeup.

I agree with you @beach-mom. I don't use powder anywhere except for foundation, blush, or eyeshadow and I'm not concerned with either of those. If someone is and they don't want to use talc in their make-up, that's fine. Everyone must do what they feel is best for themselves.

The talc issue doesn't concern me in the least as facial makeup is not airborne the way a dusting powder might be. You don't inhale it.
I think it's no longer used in dusting powders.

Not concerned about talc in makeup but I can't use bismuth & several other ingredients...finally found a simple 4 ingredient matte powder foundation that doesn't irritate my skin.

I would be concerned if I was young in my teens or twenties. I think it is cumulative. I do remember, though, when Bare Minerals was all the rage, it was all over the place on my vanity. I stopped using it as I knew talc was questionable. As someone with auto- immune illnesses and having had cancer in my 30's, I think we are bombarded with chemicals and questionable ingredients. Talc is easily avoided...

@Trinity11God bless cancer survivors. Totally agree with everything you said avoiding talc and on the subject of chemicals in makeup along with my avoiding toxins in skincare and lifestyle choices. Each to their own myself choose cruelty free & quality ingredients. May you continue living cancer free.
Thank you @Sensible1 . That was very nice of you to say.💕💐
