Hi All I bought the Tria TSV. Has anyone here ever used it on their eyebrows? I know they say to use it from the cheek down only but why can't it be used above the cheeks? Fear of eye damage to do you think? Just curious. My brow hairs grow in very quicky and thickly and I would like to be rid of them for good instead of plucking every day. Thanks for any input!

I didn't buy it, and have zero experience with this type of thing, but I'd be really fearful about using it in the brow area. You bring up a good point about eye injury, but you could also end up browless and have to draw them on, which is not a good look. Instead, get them waxed or threaded. Each procedure lasts a decent amount of time and would be far more worth the money than the risk using a Tria.

It does sound tempting to use to permanently get rid of brow hair but I don't know the reasons why they instructed only for the cheeks and lower. Possibly it might be potentially harmful to the eyes.

When they first came out with LED's, they only recommended/instructed using them in the eye area (below the eyes mostly) as they were not FDA approved for anywhere else on the face. I know many who bought those first ones went ahead and used them elsewhere on the face anyway.

Then they released a new version which was essentially the same gadget and very same technology that was for the total face as they had by then received all the necessary approvals.

I know I am more hesitant to use things around my eye area than most (just a thing with me) but I would recommend trying to get some further info before using on your brows. Better safe than sorry approach. You might try emailing Tria and inquiring about it and see what their response is. If they warn you of really serious potential concerns then you can judge for yourself if you are willing to take the chance. Or they might just give some not necessarily alarming reason in which case, it could be okay to do.

Maybe some others have their opinions about it and they'll post their thoughts. I would email Tria though as it sure can't hurt to get their feedback.

It will sure be nice when you have finally gotten rid of any annoying facial hair. It was also very tempting to me but just bought all new tires for my car last week so my budget already took a hit this month that I wasn't planning on. The Tria would have been half what I spent on tires and much more personally satisfying. But being safe on the roads took priority for sure!

Look forward to your review on it.

I do agree with JeanLousieFinch as she brought up another very important point that I didn't even consider when I responded. I would imagine that it could be quite challenging to control exactly where the laser hits and you might end up with permanent brow loss. That would not be a desirable result by any means.

thanks for the responses ladies. I will take your suggestion Wackers and contact Tria directly. I know this isn't popular - but I pluck all of my eyebrow hairs and have permanent brows tatooed on. They are light and natural looking and I love them! my brows have always been dark and thick and unruly so I love having a polished brow. I fill them in with Anastasia brow powder and set them with clear powder and they look super natural and polished.
