Best sunscreen you have tried that doesn’t leave white cast on your face and is mineral rather than chemical. Any suggestions?

@Lovevienna

I'm not a sunscreen expert and don't wear it daily but this is one I just recently bought that doesn't leave a white cast.  It's very lightweight.  I bought it because of all the stellar reviews, even those reviews on this board.  My negative about it is, in my opinion, it doesn't wear well under make-up.  Truthfully, I will probably use this as my body SPF for beach days and buy the Naturium SPF for my face.  Nonetheless, here is on option for you to consider.

That's exactly why I said I'm no sunscreen expert.  I don't even know the difference.  Perhaps I shouldn't have even opined.

Just tried cerave hydrating mineral sunscreen #30, reviews said no white cast but it's there. I'm still searching myself?

I'm skeptical with mineral sunscreens. They say 'no white cast' but that's never the case for me. Also, my derm recommends chemical sunscreens. She says they work better at protecting the skin from the sun. I've been sunburned while wearing mineral sunscreens but not with chemical ones.

@Lovevienna  why does it have to be mineral sunscreen? Because of certain ingredients? Both are said to protect.

If you don't want a white cast, I'd say to go with chemical. I use Neutrogena dry touch sheer 50 SPF. Not white cast and works well under makeup.

I've been using Thrive and it is a great sunscreen.  Works well for me and DH.  I try to stay clear of harmful chemicals and this sunscreen fits the bill and reasonably priced.  I purchased mine on Amazon.

I'm not a daily sunscreen user. When I do go out in the sun for an extended period of time, I'll use one if these over my makeup and reapply as needed.  IMG_2124.jpeg
