This question has probably been done to death, but what good sunscreen do you all use that doesn't turn that awful white in your creases, wrinkles or kill your eyes, when you sweat? The powder ones I have tried almost look metallic on my face and regardless of what I do, they almost layer off my face in hot humid weather. Is there such a thing as one that is clear and just looks like your skin? I have rosecea on my face and in my eyes, so I need something that works, but for sensitive skin. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Elta MD 41. It is also tinted. It's great for sensitive skin.

I use Eucerin, daily protection, moisturizing face lotion, SPF 30, broad spectrum. You can get it at any drug store. Doesn't sting my eyes and I add some to the bb or cc creams I use.

Hello everyone. I am always interested to hear what others use for sunscreen. I had almost ordered the Elta MD products but noticed that one of the ingredients higher on the list is "petrolatum", not good. I just ordered Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen (after looking at many reviews) from their website (which has THE BEST prices from what I could find). I will give it a whirl!

Good luck to everyone on the continuous quest for sunscreen!

vaccinia..I just looked up the elta md. They have it on amazon but the elta site says Amazon is not authorized to sell it. Any thoughts on that?

Cyberderm (available from Cyberderm.ca), Suntegrity (suntegrityskincare.com). Both #1 rated by EWG, both excellent in UVA protection (high zinc), neither leave white whisps in your eyebrows! :-)

Supergoop has a great tinted product (available on their site, Sephora, Nordstrom and here on QVC) which I use as my foundation -- really nice. Their other sunscreens, though, are chemical, which I prefer not to use.

I use the Skinceuticals….I'm allergic to most of the others. My big question is how do you ladies use sunscreen on your face? I apply it and then my makeup foundation. If I understand correctly I am supposed to reapply every three or four hours. I just can't feasibly do this….especially at work…or at all for that matter because I do wear makeup. I apply my makeup each morning at about 3:30 AM before leaving for work….I would need to reapply it again before the sun even comes up! How do y'all do it?

Supergoop tinted is my current favorite. I use it as spf and foundation, it gives me enough coverage. When I want a truly flawless finish I apply Smashbox Halo over it.

I honestly think the companies are essentially stating the FDA guidelines which, to my understanding, are primarily targeted to those who are out in the sun non-stop -- like a day at the beach. Ditto the instructions to reapply after swimming or sweating.

I use my sunscreen last step before my makeup and don't worry about it afterward. Trust me, I rarely break a sweat. -Smiley Happy

A physical sunscreen sits on top of our skin, chemical sunscreens are absorbed and therefore dissipate as the hours wear on. If you use a chemical sunscreen, you might want to look into a powder product to touch up with (like Colorescience) or a good sunscreen "makeup" like Supergoop. Just so you know, there's debate on how effective powder sunscreens are.
