Got my little UV umbrella yesterday and used it leaving the Doctor's office.

I only walked to my car but it opens quite easily and shuts with the little "anchor" picture on the bottom of it.

I'm sure the real "sunbrella" company has a smoother operating umbrella but this one is cute, 17.99 and see how it works for a few weeks.

By the way the print is just like the picture I showed you all. And it does not smell.  Very slight at best.  Will give a better review after a few weeks.

I have a parasol. lolol. omg.

@Pink123

Everything old is new again! When I was a little girl I remember my grandmother and other ladies her age used regular umbrellas when they walked outside in the sun.  I remember it as being just plain black umbrellas, not parasols.  Very utilitarian.  Yours is a lot prettier.Smiley Wink

@shoesnbags  ha, yes it sure is!  I had to go to costco today and it was a hike in that huge parking lot. BF still out of town. Used my new little buddy, the umbrella and actually I didn't get much redder (just had laser if you didn't know) than I already was.  I will keep using it and will think about the real deal "sunbrella" company next month.

Re: Sun damage?

[ Edited ]

I had ordered a "sunbrella" with spf from Amazon for 18.00.

It's so hot here,  95 degree's feels like 108 with humidity.  Women's hair here do not have a chance of staying fluffy.

This is a review and I recommend purchasing the real deal  called "Solbari", the original?  It is $55.00.  I will order through the company direct.n

Anyway I made quite a few stops yesterday and was wearing denim shorts (my leg's were burning even though they are tanned from driving in the car with BF - we recently took a trip to the west coast for a few days, an almost 4 hour drive but that was before the summer heat but they did not burn as it was not full on summer here in soFlo.

So yesterday I had a big walk to one place and through the parking lot's with the sunbrella.  And a guy with a beautiful BMW, drive's by, roll's his window down and give's me a 'big thumbs's up", wink and cute smile.  It's not so bad!  He was quite cute too!

Here's a picture of my choice which there are many.  My mom bought me one years ago when she was alive, god rest her soul, but I lost it somehow.

Again company called"solbari" $55.00.  I will feel confident with this one.

Oh they have size's, compact, large, etc.  Once lady had some plastic surgery and chemotherapy I think and she ordered the large for more protection.

I think the choice is 42 inches or 46 inches.  I don't think I need the 46 inche one but will measure the cheap one I bought at Amazon.

I think the top is a bit silver?  Not sure but my choice on this one.  a few nice choices if your a blue gal.

She looks like she has a ton of tanned, freckled areas.  If she wore sunscreen now, those freckles would not be as prominent.

@Pink123 that’s what I currently use, a Solbari sunbrella. I have the silver exterior with black on the underside. It works great! My only gripe is if it’s a somewhat breezy day, there is no wind vent and so it can be a struggle at times to hold it.

Thanks @Natureluvr  I'm going to order it at Solbari but I need your opinion please.

It say's 42" or 46" in size.  Which one do you have?  Maybe the big one is too big and that's what causes problems with wind?

You would think for $55.00 it would not do that.

I live very close to the ocean and it's always breezy here.  Thank's for your help on this.

PS. I just looked back at my picture of it.  It says "compact".  Wonder what that means. I just can't stand returning things so I would like to get it right.

@Pink123 I think I have the 42” and it is plenty of coverage for me. I believe Coolibar brand has sunbrellas have a wind vent if you’re concerned about that. Good luck!

Thank you @Natureluvr  - I appreciate this.  I would prefer a "wind vent" as it's always breezy here as stated before.  I checked the "coolibar" one out and I think it's the one I'm going to choose.

Here's pic and it's 42".  I don't want a huge thing, you could never close it getting into the car. lol

like a light blush of some sort with a turquoise like inner lining.

It's really important right now as I'm going to be really sun sensitive for several months.
