SMC is my husband's favorite because of the scent (he can use most WEN with good success). It WAS my number one favorite, performance-wise, until SHP which is even better. It has coconut oil in, which other CCs do not. My hair loves coconut oil. It is moisturizing but just not as much as SHP but in a better way than, say, fig, - I am sure that is due to the 4 honey complex SHP has. I feel with fig, it is sometimes is difficult to rinse out well (kind of feels like their is a coating on the hair??). This is not the case with SMC.

We are going to get a gallon of SMC for my husband.

HappyDaze, I was interested in SMC for a family member due to coconut oil, I pulled up my old TSV order to look at ingredient list, it shows coconut extract but not oil in SMC, or is that the same thing?...(I am not the best at ingredient's)...FGP shows coconut oil, (oddly), just thinking maybe the extract and oil are the same? thanks..Smiley Happy

hm not sure what they mean by coconut extract? That could mean alot of things. Regardless, i am sure the extract would contain a bit of the oil. It would be hard to extract coconut and completely removing the oil. If it were without the oil, I'd think it would be more like coconut milk or water, which wouldn't necessarily contain the oil. Hm. It is hard to say what that means.

And that is odd that FGP contains coconut oil! I did not smell any coconut in that scent- just pure spices.

Oh thanks, yes that seemed odd, I can read ingredients but am not really good at all they
"bring to the table" so to speak...Smiley Happy

It is odd. Normally for hair products - or any beauty products for that matter - the ingredient is "oil". The only time I have seen "extract" with respect to coconut is in flavor or smell one wants to add to a culinary item....

I will be buying the SMC next month. Hopefully in the gallon if it is available. SMC, FAS, and Fig are the most moisturizing formulas for my hair. SHP can go to the grave yard lol it did not work for my hair type at all.

Happydaze, I asked Chaz's CS about the oils...Jillian said that SMC is a universal cleanser and using too many oils can make them heavy, in some cases that is ok, but with SMC , (and others I am sure) using the extracts were better...Smiley Happy

Thanks so much for all the information! It sounds as if I may really like this formula. Since I use mostly seasonals, I will be looking forward to trying this oneSmiley Happy

It was the first seasonal that I ever used since I had just started using Wen. My first order was SMC and the duo of SAM and POM. I do like it and intend on ordering more but not as much as SHP. SHP is still my favorite Wen formula and plan on stocking up on this formula when it is available. I also really like SOB because of the scent and have a few extra of SOB that should last me for a while.

I hope that the 3 summer seasonals are offered as a set since I also want to try the new summer seasonal in addition to ordering more of SHP and SMC.
