So far I have only tried three different formulas of styling creme, SAM, Fig and SHP, and other than the shine from the honey complex in the SHP, I don't really notice much difference between the three. Do they all perform pretty much the same for peoples' hair, or are the differences between the CC formulas mirrored in the styling creme?

In my experience, the styling creme's performance is the same across all the scents.

I think that the core SCs give similar results. I think the only major differences would be in the essential oils used for scent. I've used TT, CA, LAV & SAM and they all were equally effective. FYI I use the TT and CA CCs, but the LAV and SAM CCs don't work well for my hair.

In contrast, the 613 SC is different: amino acid complex, extra skin care ingredients, and the newish shine complex that is unique to 613 SC. The 613 SC just works better for my thin/fine hair so I stopped using the other SCs last year. I haven't tried the BGT SC yet but I suspect it may have some of the added bonuses that the 613 SC has. - bebe

Sorry Kcladyz, but that isn't accurate.

The basis of all the styling creams are the same, but Chaz uses different essential oils in each of them, which is where the styling creams differ. The different essential oils aren't there just for scent, they also affect how they can perform on different hair types.

Chaz has stated in one of his presentations that the CA and LAV styling creams are for finer hair, TT and POM styling creams are universal and the SAM and Fig styling creams are for thicker, coarser hair. I'm not sure what Chaz has said about the Bamboo or seasonal styling creams though, so maybe someone else can jump in with info on those

Of course, that doesn't mean that the different styling creams won't all work for everyone. Just be aware that the different essential oils in each of the styling creams make the chemistry in each of them a little different, which means that they may be more suitable for one hair type than another.

Personally, I've only used the SAM and POM styling creams. They have both worked extremely well for me, but I did find that I needed to use a little more of the POM styling cream than the SAM. I'm not sure if that really answers your quesiton CamilleP, but I hope this info helps

Bebe, Thanks for the clarification. I just started using the 613 styling creme and really like it. Although, I have 3 different styling cremes that I am currently using and like to use different formulas.

Thank you, Bebe and Aeon, for the detailed info. I think, once I use up all the Fig SC from the current TSV A/D, as well as the SAM I have on hand, I may go to CA for my fine hair. This is one aspect of the TSV kits that can be problematic, the whole kit is one single formula, which might not always be best for every individual's hair. I have noticed that the 613 styling creme is different. I like it the best. I have only used Lav and TT styling cremes so far. I have thick hair, layered, with several different textures and levels of wave on my head. I am growing it out and at shoulder length now.

CA styling creme works best on my thin, fine hair, and I use mainly TT, 613 & seasonal CCs. POM & LAV styling cremes didn't work well for me, I haven't tried any other styling cremes for comparison yet.

I have thin/fine hair as well and those are the CCs that I use as well... plus BGT!! - bebe
