Sticky Nars palettes

I've collected Nars palettes throughout the years and the matte rubber cases have gotten sticky. Heard it's quite common with this brand. Besides depotting (which I've never tried, I'd probably ruin it all), has anyone had luck cleaning these? I've tried rubbing alcohol, baby wipes, but nothing has gotten rid of the stickiness.
