@maestra  I am going to have to go try some colors, SO MANY I know choosing on line would be a bad idea - GOOD MORNING by the way!

Just saw your other post, maybe I can order a couple that i THINK might work and just send the one back that doesn't, better than driving over an hour to get to my Sephora!

@SandGirlI suggest checking out Makeup Forever foundation colors in person.  Since they have several shades which encompass each shade range (fair, light, medium, tan, dark, deep) it would be easy to make a frustrating mistake trying to choose from online swatches.  However I can certainly understand the dilemma of having to plan the time to get there and back in your case.  Taking that into consideration perhaps you should follow @maestra suggestion to order more than one color rather than driving to a Sephora store.  You might even want to order at least three and return the two which don't work.  Returning by mail is more convenient for you getting to a Sephora store.

Re: Stick Foundation Recommendation?

Kristofer Buckle is a great product along with Hourglass Seamless Foundation Stick and Makeup Forever makes a nice stick too. You don't mention your skin type. Hourglass and MUFE are more for dry skin.

Hi,

Does this settle in your pores and wrinkles? I have dry skin and need some moisture, but, not tooo much.

Re: Stick Foundation Recommendation?

I have oily skin and NONE I have ever tried look good on me.  And most of them don't last any time, then it looks worse than my bare face.  Bobbi Browns has never worked for me and I've tried several times.

Hourglass

@Janey2

I just picked up Hourglass foundation at Sephora and I am in LOVE.  The best foundation I have ever used of any type.  Super creamy, blends beautifully into my skin. Not heavy. I am delighted with it.

Do you have thoughts on how long the tube might last?

Re: Stick Foundation Recommendation?

I have combination skin with lines and wrinkles and most foundation makes me look worse but I decided to revisit the Bobbi Brown foundation stick and I like it.   I have tried most of the others mentioned and they don't work for me.  I looked online at the BB foundation stick and the color I thought would work was way too light in person so it would be best to try it in the store to color match.

I agree with Hourglass !  Perfect match, covers yet not caked.  I’ve had my stick for well over a year but it’s lasted great with the superior quality and packaging !

Re: Stick Foundation Recommendation?

Another vote for Bobbi Brown. There are a lot of shades and I found one that matches perfectly. The tube lasts for a long time (over a year) and I like the finish. It makes my skin look like skin and it doesn't oxidize.

My only issue is in the summer time when I get a tan, it's hard to find a color match, so I wear this for about 9 months out of the year.

@chiclet  Bobbi suggested getting your foundation shade matched at counter. The artist will “swatch” at least 3 shades...the one that disappears is correct. When I wear it in summer, I do use white setting powder (Laura Mercier loose white powder) in t zone. In winter, my skin is more dry and powder isn’t necessary.

Re: many foundations, in general, have a slightly yellow tone. This combats any redness in the skin, acts as a color corrector. Although my complexion is quite fair w/ pink/neutral understones, I like the yellow tones to block & even any ruddy areas and create a neutral canvas for blush/bronzer.
