I tried this new one I found at Wegmans. HiBar solid shampoo. It was a 3 mini bar sampler for $6.99. One to Maintain (straight or oily hair) , one to Volumize and one to Moisturize. They are really not that "mini" rather about the size of a flattened golf ball. I have tried the moisturizing one so far. I find they DO NOT make my scalp itch like many other types of shampoo do. I like them and will try the other 2 soon.

I tried one by the Beekman Boys several years ago and it left a film on my hair. Zero interest in trying anything else like it.

My husband uses shampoo bars, not sure brands...he loves them. He told me I must try it...so I did. It was so horrible, I couldn't get a comb or wet brush or anything through my hair...it was like rotten dry hay....i was so mad!

I would not recommend bars for long hair. Mine is chin length, fine and thin and slightly wavy so not a problem for me.

The Kitsch rice protein bar shampoo flattened my hair like nothing else. It was also difficult to comb or style after I used it just once. I have long hair. Tossed the Kitsch in the trash.

Have you tried any of the K Beauty ones, a few on HSN

I switched about 2 years ago and what a wonderful difference in my thick, curly hair. It's soft, shiny, and bouncy. Styling is a breeze with very little styling products.
I started with Kitsch, but have had better results with Earthling. So easy to travel with. My DH loves the bars as well.

I use Wen, but I have one bar shampoo at home. I have it just in case I want to fly somewhere and only bring a carryon. I use the toothpaste tablets from Lush when I travel, because sometimes I like to brush my teeh after a long flight. I do love that there is an option.
