Smashbox Eye Shadows

A few months ago Smashbox was on and offered an eye shadow collection of about 50 (maybe less) of eye shadows in a nice size kit for about $48. Like a dummy I didn't try it. Has anyone tried this product before? How are Smashbox eye shadows? Do you consider them better than Bare Escentuals?
