@SilleeMee thank you, thank you, thank you!  I am on the right track.  I use a dupe for that cleanser, use the same moisturizer, the same strength of tretinoin, and will be using the same vitamin C serum.  I am looking at a few peptide serums so will keep the one you recommended in mind.

Other than being a different type of acid, what is the difference (benefit) from using a glycolic acid once a week vs. a lactic acid once a week?

I have never been able to tolerate chemical sunscreens so will have to stay with mineral, but I enjoyed reading about the one you use.

I just ordered the phytoceramides.  At 10 cents a day, not too much invested to try it.  I am going to consider the vitamin C supplement.  I read about it and wondered how you take it...

@Ainhisg

Glycolic acid is a bit stronger than lactic acid. GA is a smaller molecule than is LA so it penetrates deeper into the skin and it's effects can last longer than LA. Glycolic can go deep enough to stimulate collagen in the dermal layer where LA can't reach. Sensitive skin types do better with LA.

About that vitamin C powder...

I take 500mg each day, divided into two doses. Each dose measures about a level 1/4-teaspoon. I put that into my twice-daily 'greens' drink. Be sure to rinse my mouth out to reduce the acidity from the VC. Not good for tooth enamel.

@SilleeMee that is exactly what I needed to know about the GA and LA.  I'm going to go with LA just because of the tret issue, not being able to use chemical sunscreen, etc.  I've never considered myself to have sensitive skin, but maybe I do just a little.  Better safe than sorry.

I think you can read my mind.  That's what I was wondering about the vitamin C powder--one dosage, two?  And also about the rinsing of the mouth.  I have weak enamel because of my age but mostly because of wearing braces as an adult, so that had been in the back of my mind concerning rinsing after use.

Is there any charge for all of your advice?  lol  Thank you so much again!
