@James Mom Since I found Mario Badescu this year, I am looking no further. Love his products and they are reasonably priced for the ounces given and gentle. I tend to have sensitive skin and have no problems with his products. My routine:
Keratoplast cleanser
Keratoplast toner (cleansing lotion_
Buttermilk moisturizer
You can take answer questions on his website and they will email you products they recommend for your skin. I actually selected what I wanted to try and did the questionnaire at a later time.

@James Mom wrote:Hi - there are so many skin care regimens on the Q. I am a 58 year old with normal skin looking for a SIMPLE routine to keep my skin healthy looking. Any recommendations - if too many steps, I just won't do it and I really want to do something simple but effective. Help please!
@James Mom If your skin is normal....that is all you can ask for. Changing up your skincare might upset your skin. Just keep doing what you are doing if you are happy with your skin.

@James Mom I have seen so many suggestions you got. If you’re still looking for a simple skincare regimen for normal skin, I’ve got you the perfect skincare routine you can follow day and night to keep your skin as gorgeous as ever.
AM skincare routine:
Wash your face with a moisturising cleanser and follow up with the best toner to maintain the pH balance of your skin. Moisturise your skin with a lightweight day cream and slather on SPF whether or not you are stepping out in the sun.
Twice a week, exfoliate your face with a mild scrub right after you cleanse your face to clear blocked pores and keep your skin clear and spotless.
PM skincare routine:
Start by removing your makeup with the good quality cleansing wipes will not only help you take off your makeup with ease, but will also remove dust, dirt and oil in the process. Next, wash your face once again with your face wash. Apply a nourishing overnight serum.
Pamper your skin with a moisturising night cream and apply eye cream around your eyes to keep pesky ageing signs like wrinkles, fine lines and dark circles at bay.
For when you have time to spare, slap on an overnight face mask for glowing skin the next morning.
Hope this will help you. I am sorry for suggesting so many steps, but trust me you will get what you want.

@SilleeMee wrote:I believe a complete skincare routine includes using some form of retinoid in either an OTC or Rx product. A vitamin C serum will also benefit your skin by providing it with a proven antioxidant which treats multiple skin concerns. I also suggest using some kind of exfoliation product which will primarily depend on the kind of skin you have. Cleansers, moisturizers and sunscreen are all must-haves...those things are very much a personal choice and should not be products that irritate the skin...basics should be gentle and effective.
In summary, the following can be incorporated into most anyone's routine:
-use a retinoid
-exfoliate
-use vitamin C serum
@SilleeMee + SPF 😜

Yes, of course
@Shanus . I mentioned that as a 'must haves' in my post.

@SilleeMee Apologies. Must have missed that. I know we're on the same page with skincare.

I consider SPF to be the most important product you can apply as part of your morning routine. Even if you don't go outside, if you have windows in your house, UVA rays (the aging ones) are still getting through.
I wear SPF every day, regardless of whether I plan to go outside or not. It's just part of my morning routine. I have to admit though, if I put makeup on, I'm not good about reapplying as i should. I do however, use clothing, sunglasses and even carry an umbrella as a parasol to protect me if I have to walk anywhere because the sun here in Texas is no joke!

Totally agree. There is no point in using skincare treatment products if you don't prevent the worst damage. Which comes from the sun. Not to mention it is a genuine medical issue as well. SPF is the priority!
