Simple Skin Care

[ Edited ]

Enjoying two products from this brand.

1. Skin quenching sleeping cream: says night cream, I use day and night.

Non-greasy, soaks in feels incredibly hydrating.

2  Micella Make-up Remover Wipes: Wonderful! Hydrating as well.

Plan checking more products from Simple: Walgreens, Bogo this week.

I am an ingredient snob, unfortunately they use mineral oil and C 13-14 Isoparaffin which is also mineral oil, I dont buy anything with that in there, just my personal preference. Not in all of their products, though.

I have used some of the skincare and some I liked and some I didn't.

I did not care for the Cleansing Facial Wipes or the Micellar Cleansing Water but I don't ever care for wipes or any cleansing water.  I got the wipes free so figured I'd try them.  They just weren't for me.

I have used the Foaming Cleanser but it wasn't my favorite.  My skin got a little too dry with it.

I am using right now and do like the Protecting Light Moisturizer with SPF 15.  I go back and forth between this day cream and a Garnier day cream.

@Sweet_Serenity

I have been alternating their Face Gel Wash with Isomers Tea Tree Oil cleaser & their Water Boost Cleansing Micellar Water.

I bought these 2 products after trying the eye makeup cleansing wipes I received in a Targer Beauty Box. I really like the products. My face has been more hydrated after using them.

Looks like I need to try their Hydrating Booster & their Skin Quench Sleeping Cream.

They have a $3 off coupon on their site.

@Shelbelle I know you said they are not in all their products but I don't see it in any of the ones I'm using. Which products of theirs have that?

Of course they don't have the ingredient label available on their site so I looked at some on Walgreens site.

I know they say mineral oil can clog the pores & damage the barrier that increases water loss.

I looked at a few of the product ingredients on the Walgreens site randomly, the  few I looked at either had mineral oil or isoparaffin C13-14 which is the same thing as mineral oil.

@Shelbelle Guess it does not matter if it's not in the ones I'm using. I don't need clogged pores that's for sure or anything that will increase water loss.

My skin was so dry no matter what I used until I started using the Boost Miceller Water. My face looks & feels so much better using it.

It's keeping all these dry patches I seem to keep getting on my face at bay.

Mineral oil gets a bad wrap. Most pros say that highly refined cosmetic grade mineral oil is fine

I Iike and use the wipes nightly. Dimitri's are good but too expensive.
