Shower Filter for Hair!

I just bought a water shower filter head that I am installing this weekend. Getting my hair colored this weekend too, and besides using sulfate free shampoos, hoping it helps extend my hair color! Its also supposed to be great for allergies and skin! I can't wait. Has anyone else installed one and had good experiences? They get great reviews, got one for $20 at home depot!
