@NonametodaySo do I.    I use a "childs" shower cap.  They come in several sizes.  I asked the sales person which size I should get.  I wear a medium in a childs shower cap.  Fits perfectly.  Get them from the beauty supply store.

@vermint

Thanks.  I never thought about shopping for one at beauty supply.  I have to do some shopping there Saturday and will look for one.  Thanks again.

My head measures 24 inches around. Can anybody recommend a shower cap that might fit? Most are so tight that they creep up and leave an inch or more of hair exposed.

Any help would be appreciated!

I get XL shower caps at WalMart or Amazon.

extra large shower cap

plenty came up on search

some were huge

I did that...Amazon and other places. The caps were more for people with lots of hair. Some of the reviews were from those who bought them for a big head, but they said they didn't fit any better than the regular ones.

Thanks, though!

@vermint If you don't intend to put your head directly under the water, what about wrapping your hair/head in a microfiber turbie twist towel, to keep it up and out of the way?

@JeanLouiseFinch  Thanks, but I have the same problem with a turbie twist...it just doesn'f fit around my big ole head!

I have tried wrapping it in a lightweight towel, and that works ok--as long as the towel stays put! But I shave my legs in the shower, every day, and when I bend sometimes the towel comes undone. It's annoying! Woman Very Happy

I have a bigger noggin, too, I just buy a bunch of processing caps from the local beauty supply. Very cheap. I like that they're light weight and don't weigh my hair down. Of course, being more fragile than a traditional shower cap, I avoid getting my head wet.

@BlueFinch  Thanks, I might try that. On days I don't wash my hair, I turn the shower head down so it mostly hits just my body, so processing caps might work.

@vermint @hi, I have a big head and I use rollers...I get mine at Sally's beauty supply. It has an adjustable ring on the top. Works like a charm! Good luck !

@Franklinbell  Thanks, but my hair isn't really long enough for rollers. Good idea, though!

@vermint

Years ago I was on a determined search to find a shower cap roomy enough if I was wearing a few rollers.  Couldn't find anything suitable ... the two most common sizes were Jumbo and Bouffant .... still don't know the difference .... and they were both child size!

Making a larger shower cap isn't rocket science ... but manufacturers still don't seem to know what is needed.  Go figure.

Re: Shower Cap for Big Head?

@Tinkrbl44 My problem is the elastic that holds the cap on, not so much the cap itself. All the "large" and "extra-large" caps I looked at were made to hold more HAIR, not more HEAD, lol! In other words, the elastic was the same size for these caps, just the cap itself was bigger.

I can't be the only person in the world with a 24" head!
