I've been getting the CND Shellac manicure for about 6 months now. I go to salons that are listed on the CND website. At first, I loved them. My nails always looked great. Lately, they look awful. I've tried different salons and my nails now don't seem to take to the shellac. I wear the color 'Romantique' which is a matte light pink. I now see spots under the polish on several nails and the shellac has started to peel off. I don't know what the problem is. I just had them done last Thursday and already they look horrid. Also, no matter what salon I go to, they are all different in how they remove the old shellac. Some have me soak my nails in straight acetone for 15 minutes or so and then they scrape them with a wooden stick. Only one place has actually removed them the way that is recommended on the CND website (the foils wrapped around each nail). I guess I assumed that if the salon is listed on the CND website, that they are trained in the right way to do this. I guess that's not the case. Shellac was not supposed to damage nails but I find mine are not as healthy looking now as they were when I got my first Shellac so they do damage no matter what they say. Anyone else have these shellac problems?
