@Shanus  Thanks for clarifying. 😉  I watch some about skincare, but honestly, all I use are products from The Ordinary; very inexpensive and they work (for me.) So glad I don't have to keep trying the next new and improved skincare products everyone claims is the best new must have. Although, I did use and love the oldie but goodie Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair. It really did work.

@Mimi 1883   You're not the Lone Ranger. Been using Skinceuticals since the year after it came out...a decade? Just added an acid pad by PTR a few days a week to my routine. It's been discontinued, so when finished w/ this supersized backup jar, will be on the hunt for another brand.

@Shanus  I've heard lots of good things about Kate Somerville products. Several channels have mentioned how good they are. The only thing I've tried so far by PTR is the Hyaluronic Cloud Hydra-Gel eye patches. They're nice, nothing exceptional, so I'm not sure if I will repurchase. I think Drunk Elephant is outrageously priced. So many people, Wayne included (PR package) swear by their products, but like you said, they get the items in PR packages, so of course they're going to give a great review. I'll just stick with The Ordinary. 🙂

@Mimi 1883   I think Somerville is more $ than Drunk Elephant.

@Shanus  You are right about the pricing, but I would purchase KS over DE. It's just me, but I think they're just over-hyped. My surprise good buy was NYX blush in rose gold (discontinued of course) - it's beautiful. I apply, ever so lightly, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder over it and it looks so pretty. The effect is subtle and no where near a highlighter, which I never use. It may work on a client who insists on a highlighter but shouldn't?? ☺️

@Mimi 1883   Thanks for the blush suggestion. If I need subtle highlight, there's usually a slightly pink shimmer shadow in one of palettes I dip into along with or over/under blush. Most clients (& I) love NARS O blush eith powder or Multiple (stick, cream) that also has a slight shimmer. I like to to have products that do do double duty. Any light toned shimmer eye shadow stick makes a great highlighter as well. Skincare: I used to use Exfolikate, but it was too harsh combined w/ my Retin A and acid pads. I'm not familiar with other SK skincare. If not mistaken, Dr. Dray talks a lot about Drunk Elephant. Guaranteed to up the prices as it becomes more in demand.

@Shanus  You're welcome! 🤗 I love reading any tips/tricks, so I thought you might like that one. Hope I didn't offend you with a suggestion. You know A LOT more than I do! I just love that Ambient Powder. Personally, I think Hourglass has some of the greatest products, but that's just me. Also loving Makeup Forever.

You use Retin A? Is it Rx or do you purchase elsewhere? How is it working for you? I've often thought about it, but just never made an appointment with a dermatologist. Mrs Melissa M said that you can purchase via a Canadian website without a Rx, but I haven't looked into that either.

@Mimi 1883   I use prescription strength Retin A. Rx written by my derm. Been using it for almost 40 yrs. when it was first used off label for wrinkles. If you can look back to my posted pic here of my eye/brow in the last few days...no wrinkles/crowsfeet on an almost 72 yr. old brow. I use the .1%, but of course, worked to that from the lowest %. I use it 3 times a week in spring/summer and 2 times a week in colder weather when my skin's dry. I use moisturizer the other nights.

@Mimi 1883    Thanks. Brows!!! Really bushy brows...weed wacker needed. Scared to have them tweezed professionally and when using Retin A, no waxing...will take off a layer of skin. So, just maintain them myself.

@Shanus  Don't complain! Better than having too few! 😄  IDK if you happened to see this on the internet yesterday, but an adorable picture of a 92 y/o man as he was coloring his wife's (married 70 yrs) hair, as she, naturally, can't go to the salon. So sweet.

@Shanus  At the same time you were posting this morning I was searching under "Community" to see if there was a past post on how to block posters. No luck. I've been here 10 years as well and have had more than my share of nasty posters, usually the same ones that appear to travel in packs. I learned about "tagging" here yesterday, so that answered a question I'd had. Over time, I've read too many posters say that they're Afraid to post anything because they will be verbally attacked, or just leaving the forum because of all the hostility.
