I'm looking for natural shampoos comparable to aveda without the price tag. Love their product and scent.

Suave professionals shea and almond is supposed to be an aveda dupe. i never seen an all natural shampoo before. The closest to perfect all natural is trader joes tea tree tingle

Re: Shampoo comparable to aveda

I switched to Sebastian Drench because that's what my hairdresser uses. The scent is lovely, not the same as aveda, but beautiful. And the price difference is staggering. I like the 1 liter pump bottles - shampoo or conditioner is only about $20, plus $5 for the pump (or save your Aveda pumps - they're the same).

I buy them on Amazon.

My idea of a perfect shampoo is one that thickens the hair, smooths out friz, repairing and strengthening with a unique scent but not overpowering and is ultra gentle.

Although this isn't a shampoo suggestion, I just did a quick Google search for "Aveda Shampure duplicate", and several fragrance options came up. I thought this was interesting since you mentioned loving the fragrance.

Re: Shampoo comparable to aveda

I cannot stand the smell of their shampoo. They work great, but hate the smell. I can't even stand to walk in the Aveda salon we have my grand daughter goes to. It smells like Ben gay

There is a line of shampoos that use the plants like aveda. It is called AURA. Their Rosemany/mint runs about 21.00 or less. Try drugstore.com or amazon/

Aveda is sort of a oner. They grow and use their own plants, so it s hard to dupe. They are a wonderful hair care line

Any of the shampoos in the Suave Professionals line. I've had great results with them, especially Keratin Infusion and Almond Shea.

Re: Shampoo comparable to aveda

I use Aveda's shampure, dont love the scent, although, have gotten use to it. Not really my holy grail but it is not bad. I, also, use Dessert Essence Coconut shampoo. I don't know that it is a dupe for Aveda but I like it just as much. It makes my hair soft with volume and not weighted down. I am almost out of mine and just ordered two more from Vitacost. It is on sale right now for 3.97 for 8 oz or was a couple of days ago. The only drawback is that I have to order it, although, I havent searched for it locally.
