Re: Shadow Base? I need a Good One

I have used the following: UDPP(the tube cracked open at the seam and dried out so I won't buy it again), Smashbox 24 hour primer in the tube(really like this one), Too Faced shadow insurance(really like), Trish McEvoy(creased on me), and Lorac(really like this one but cracked open on the side of the tube-duck taped it and it's still useable). HTH Saw Emilynoel on YouTube rave about the Milani one, but haven't tried it myself, it's reasonably priced too.

Another vote for MAC Painterly. Last a long time and does not dry out.

Re: Shadow Base? I need a Good One

Since Laura Geller apparently stopped her eye spackle pen in the cream, I've been using her clear one in the tube! Works great on my deep set eyes and I don't have a solid cream "paint" I would sometimes take care to cover!

Re: Shadow Base? I need a Good One

I read many good reviews about the Milani one, purchased it only to go out and have makeup running down my face when I caught myself in a mirror! I like them for evening out my skin tone and keeping my makeup in place because at my age I don't want bulletproof make up that I have to scrub hard to take off. There are plenty of good primers out there in all price ranges.

Which one of these great recommendations can you wear alone? I know some you can't as they don't cover fully without eyeshadow on top.

Laura Geller's Invisible Spackle for eyes as already posted and Smashbox 24 Hour primer are both fantastic.

The best ones I've found are Urban Decay and Smashbox.

I love Bare Minerals' BB eye creams. They come in various colors, so I like to use Soft Linen or Barely Nude. It acts as my "all over" color, and then I just go in with crease and/or outer V colors. I love that it has an SPF 15 too, as my eyelids would otherwise be the only skin on my face unprotected. It wears great all day, no creasing or fading, and supposedly provides skin care benefits.

love the nude BB cream for eyes by BE!
