Isomers Vitamin C-Stem serum is working for my super sensitive skin. My skin looks brighter. No breakouts, so I plan to stick with it.

tegrace,

The Isomers serums are also miracle workers for my skin. I checked Shop Q for some kits and they were all sold out but this set on the Isomers site is a steal. Manuela also recommends her face washes because it PH balances your skin so it helps stop alot of issues before they start.

Having what you think was an adverse reaction to a specific serum, OP, doesn't reflect on the whole category; it likely means either that one or more ingredients weren't right for your particular skin or that it was a coincidence.

Another vote for NCN Vit C. It has, IMO, the best ingredient deck around, and good news that it will continue to be sold with a pump dispenser.

I don't know if anything, no matter the brand, works. Maybe for me it's not making my skin look younger, but hold off future wrinkling a little bit.

Is there a good serum out there that has a good balance of Vit C and hylauronic acid?

I don't think those two ingredients in their truest forms play well together in a bottle. IMO, you need one of each. For C I like NCN. I've been using PC's and I like it a lot but I don't like her delivery packaging. For an HA serum, I found a very nice one at Whole Foods.

I am another one that likes the NCN Pro Skin Care Vit. C serum. It does have hyaluronic acid in the formulation. My skin feels soft like natural skin with this serum, not sticky or greasy feeling, and I have an oily T-zone. I have not experienced any kind of reaction to this serum, a miracle. Here's the ingredient list, it's a pretty simple formulation that is not filled with a bunch of junk or silicones:

INGREDIENTS: Water, L-Ascorbic Acid & MAP (Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate), Hyaluronic Acid, Glutathione, Sea Kelp Bioferment, Oat Beta Glucan, Vitamin E (mixture of Tocopherols & Tocotrienols), Ferulic Acid, Polysorbate 80, Optiphen.

{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1} I make a third who likes NCN. Products well-formulated without unnecessary fillers - reasonable prices.

My skin has visibly improved since I added the Vit C and PC RESIST Ultra-Light Antioxidant Serum . PC always has some sale going and/or free s/h or a coupon online.

I also added Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) to my routine and it has done wonders to exfoliate, lessen the appearance of my pores, control oil and clear my complexion.

I haven't broken out from any NCN or PC products. PC offers lots of samples you can try first.

I also tried the new BM Serum Foundation on Sunday.....made my skin super oily, Maybe I will just stick moisturizing and not add a serum.

Your choice, of course, but I wouldn't judge skincare serums by how a cosmetic product like a foundation feels.

There are many excellent skin care serums, some noted here already, that are not oily or comedogenic at all.

I've read quite a few articles where dermatologists say that serums are more powerful, potent and effective than creams. So yes, I believe they work based on what I've read and how my skin reacts to them.

Anyone want to list their favorite serums? I'd say mine is a vitamin C-I'm a serial product junkie, have tried SkinActives Vitamin C which is a 20% C with feruic acid and liked it, bought it several times but going to trey Paula's Choice Resist C15 next. And I've always liked Isomers Accelerated Recovery Serum and her R Intensive serum. Not currently using them but I've bought both numerous times and may return to them.

QVC lost a lot of my posts too!

Yes, I read the good news about the pump. Imagine, a vendor who listens to her customers!
