I order from Sephora quite frequently and everything is also packaged very well. Never had an issue with any product being damaged.

But to be fair, you ordered during the VIB/Rouge 20% off sale, and Sephora does state shipping/receiving times may be a little longer of a wait during the 20% off sale. Ordering at this time of the year shouldn't be a problem, as long as it isn't within the 20% off sale period. ![]()

I'd trust Sephora shipping more than taking it on a plane in checked luggage. I've never had Sephora items damaged in shipping.
