I couldn't find a thread on this and I am curious if any fellow product junkies are signing up for Sephora's Flash delivery service. I received my invite today and I'm on the fence regarding another up-front charge for being a good customer.
For those who have not received an "invitation", Sephora is offering something similar to Amazon Prime; you pay an annual fee for unlimited free 3-day shipping, no minimum order $ required. Right now the fee is $10; I understand the fee will increase to $25 as Sephora continues to roll out the program.
I'm already a Sephora VIB and get free s&h on any order over $50. I'm hesitant to join this Flash program as I hate the idea of paying a fee for choosing to be a repeat customer (Amazon, to me, is a bit different as they have an enormous product selection AND they offer streaming of movies & tv shows). Second, I believe there will be restrictions once the program rolls out. I like the sales and specials Sephora offers but they're pretty restrictive about using more than one promotion.
For those of you who are interested but haven't received an e-mail, I think you can send a request via the web site or call Sephora's customer service department.

That's interesting. I haven't received an invitation. I always get my orders really quickly from Sephora, though, so I wouldn't be interested in joining.

I declined. I hardly shop at Sephora these days (usually only during their two sales) and I can easily make the $50 for free ship. And nowadays, their orders get to me within 3 days anyway so that is fast enough.
I guess I don't understand though- they already offer free 3-day ship for orders over $50? So the only difference is you now have to pay for the "free 3 day ship" for orders under $50? Or I wonder if they going to do away with the free 3 day ship for orders over $50 too, because they just recently started doing that (over the past year I think).

I didn't receive the email. Maybe because I'm already at rouge level so currently enjoy free shipping.
But if I ever don't qualify for rouge down the road this would interest me. I would join.

I signed up for the program last year. $10 for unlimited free shipping was worth it to me because my orders are usually not very big. Now, I can order even one small item and not worry about a shipping charge. I like having it.

See that's what I'm wondering. If I've been purchasing enough from Sephora to earn free shipping for the past several years and now they're going to start charging me for the option of free shipping? That irks me, no matter how the company positions it.
On the other hand I can totally see the benefit Chrissy76 pointed out. I'm such a junkie that having the option of ordering that new $12 lip gloss on the spot w/o shipping charges might be too hard to resist.

I'm currently at the VIB Level and haven't received the email being referenced. Given the average cost of buying even 1 product, it's likely I'll spend more than $50, so my s/h will be free. I blink and my order arrives, even the ones slowed down with nail polish or aerosol hair spray.
When I read people who say they don't buy from Sephora, then where? I use other sites when I find sales on products I repeat buy. But my head starts spinning when I try to keep track of ALL the products on ALL the sites ALL the time. Am I the only one getting a headache????
(I think HD has a buying secret on saving money......Tell all, HD, please!)
