OK Beauties,

Who's using self tanner and which one?

Any tips?

@justashopper    Good morning. I don't use self tanner, but do know that some can cause an exaggeration of the darker spots or veins on your body.

I have lots of freckles and any tanners I've tried have darkened them, looked too orange or too dark on my fair skin.

I gave up the "just off the beach" look and accepted being fair.

I lost my patience with self tanners long ago,

I normally like to use Minetan but today I just picked up this Jergens product. It had a lot of good reviews so I'm going to try this. Just so you know...it has a lot of fragrance! But I'm only going to apply it to my lower legs...far away from my nose...LOL!Woman LOL

This one is the "Deep Bronze". Comes in a "Light Bronze" also. $12 at my Walmart.

Sillie, I hope you get good results, but way too full of mineral oli and petro for me, not to mention all the artificial dyes in there. Jergens is terrible quality as far as ingredients.  Just my 2 cents.

Yes, there has to be something a lot better out there like Tan Luxe or Isle of Paradise which are Clean Beauty. Jergens is always bottom of the barrel!! Pure junk!!!

@Shanus

Are we related?  LOL.  Every year I buy a self tanner and never bother to put it on.  No shame in being fair skinned has been my mantra for the last several years.

But this year I am going to try it for real.  I think self tanners have come a long way over the years.

I picked up the St Tropez Rapid results. Ulta had a small try me set.  I am a little streaky this morning.... but from past experience I know that can happen with first application.  Maybe I will be able to even myself out next time.

Oh that's a loaded statement-- even myself out!

Thanks for the advice on the dark spots.  I am only using tanner on my arms and legs because of that.  And can confirm the freckles on my legs and arms did get darker.  I use bronzer make up on my face and chest.

Why is it so easy to darken age spots, but not lighten????? Seems so wrong!  LOL

Hi @SilleeMee

I remember when Jergens was the first to come out with everyday tanning lotion.... I think my mom and all my girlfriends used it.  I just never stick with it.  I need the kind I can do every so often, because that's how unmotivated I am.  LOL  It's the same with diet.  I am not good EVERYDAY.  Just often enough to maintain my weight.  LOL

Hi @Shelbelle

I know, right?  It's actually kind of dumb but for some reason I am interested in doing it this summer.  Maybe I am just that bored.  LOL
