Janet, wanted to get on a bit early to see if you saw the Boscov ad? For today, Friday, and Saturday only they have Skechers for $29.99 that are $59.99 and showed the picture of the go walk ones so, if you are interested, take a look. How are you liking the chubby eye liners? I smudge mine usually and look and last all day and night using my $1 ELF lid primer. Think you would like windows 7, even nicer than XP although that was great too.
pepesmom, do you go everyday to PT? When I went every other day it was better for me since that night I would be stiff but great by the time I woke up the following day but the time I went 2 days in a row, wow, felt stiff that whole time almost.
Drizzling here for 2 days now and want it through Monday so, will see but is very gloomy looking and want high winds for tomorrow.
Desi, do the workers work on a Saturday? Hope they are working quickly and you can get back home and back to normal shortly.

Hi all. I will be on-line more eventually when I am home. Where am I , you ask? I pleaded yesterday with DH to let me stay another day and let them finish today. Well, no, and today, not only were they all booked, the crew isn't coming - until Saturday! So today DH asked and they were full. I hastily threw all my stuff together to get out of the hotel, he wheeled it to the car. As I passed the front desk, they stopped me - someone cancelled! Had to bring everything back up and unpack again. So, I am here, so that until noon tomorrow at least, I won't hear the noise. I am definitely going home tomorrow - unless they work Sundays! Don't ask me where I will run after that. I got to stay in the same room. Less trucks, much better. You can hear construction early from something being built, but way better than trucks 24/7.
Doglover, wish we could try sandals in person. I haven't had a chance to try the Barkley. The similar style, people said ran small. Think I should have gone a half size smaller, but now I don't know if that would be too small.
Janet, hope you get your computer squared away. Thanks, wish I could remember if carpet installation was noisy. Still have the bathroom issue. Wish I had relatives I could stay with.
DH has literally taken over the whole upstairs. UGH!
Hope everyone has a nice week-end.
Pepe's mom, fingers crossed that you are improving! Glad Bella didn't have to deal with bad weather. it only drizzled a tiny bit today, sky looked worse.

Desi -- Good they had a cancellation and you can stay another day in the same room at the hotel. Hope they don't work on Sunday so you can go home.
Just remembered -- when they install carpeting I think they use a small automatic nailer and it's not very noisy! Hopefully!
I decided to keep my laptop as is and decide what I'll do when it stops working completely.
Benson slept downstairs Thursday evening; just couldn't make it up the steps. Thought he would sleep downstairs last night but he woke up and started barking and we helped him upstairs.
doglover -- Thanks -- did see the Boscov e-mail yesterday but missed the shoes. I'll check again!
Saw your thread about Thunderstruck and most of the reviewers liked both.
I like the chubby eyeliners -- they are easy to apply and I try to stay as close to the lashes as possible. I can't see without my glasses to apply but do have a 10X magnifying mirror (which can be scary at times!!!)
Just asked my neighbor for his advice about Windows XP -- he said my laptop may not be able to take Windows 7; also can still use the computer but Microsoft won't be updating. I like the laptop for straight typing but truthfully I use my iPad most of the time. Easy, fast, secure and portable.
pepes mom -- Hope your discomfort subsides and the PT will work for you.
It's gloomy here today -- colder and windy and had a dusting of snow this morning. The Boy Scouts picked up empty bottles and food items this morning -- had to keep checking that the bottles didn't blow away.
Have a nice day everyone!

Laylla: so wonderful to see you posting. Sorry to hear that you had to go on COBRA. The fees for that are so high. Happy you are in a good holding pattern health wise.
As for buying a few things that make you feel pretty- there is nothing wrong with that. Sometimes you have to allow yourself small purchases that help with your mindset. Who cares if you wear nail polish and no one really sees it. If it makes you feel better, that is what is important.
RE: Simple Skincare. I couldn't use the wipes- they left a film on my face, despite rinsing afterwards. I can use the Simple Moisturizing face wash. No burning of the eyes- ever. I liked their moisturizer, but broke out on my chin. They have a gel moisturizer that I'd like to give a try in the warmer months.
Its not exactly warm here. Overcast and in the high 30s with wind gusts. DH is going out to do a leaf cleanup, which I think will be a challenge. The homeowner wants to be there for the work which isn't an issue for DH. Today is the only real day she has available, so he will be out fighting that wind.
doglover: Let us know all about the T. Swift fragrances. I can't remember if I sniffed either of them. As for PT- I'm supposed to go 3 times a week for 4 weeks. Due to some previously scheduled appointments on my part, there will be a few days that I will need to go back to back. Overall, the neck muscles don't feel quite as stiff, which is a good thing. I have exercises that I have to do 3 times a day. I was already doing some of them before going to PT. Just the basics- chin to chest/tipping head forward, then backwards, turning head side to side/chin to shoulder, and ear to shoulder stretches. He added in moving my head in different directions and counter-pressing my head with my hand to offer resistance.
Since there is an area that is problematic from my shoulder blade to my armpit, I asked for stretches that would help there too. One is similar to the corner of the room stretch that you do. Another is to put left arm over chest and with right arm, press left arm into chest to stretch it. There is one that uses a cane/golf club/ broom to go over the head and stretch side to side.
So far, I think the massage and traction are helping more than the exercises. DH is willing to massage my neck and back,, but he doesn't have training, nor does he want to make my issues worse. My PT has incredibly strong hands and is working on getting all of my knots out.
Desi: happy you got one more night in the hotel. From what I remember about carpet install- they will install tack strip along the perimeter of the room and use a nail gun to nail it in. It shouldn't take that long to do, since the procedure is straight forward. Then they will lay the carpet and use a knee kick to get it all the way to the baseboard. It isn't constant noise. Hope they don't come tomorrow.
Janet: poor Benson and the steps. Pepe says he knows that feeling. I didn't even think about your computer not having the ability to upgrade to Windows 7. If you would need to add memory and other things, it might be cheaper to get a new, but basic laptop.

Hi everyone, I'm baack - home! Finally checked out. DH picked my luggage up at lunchtime but told me to stay out until at least 3:00. They were done by then. He said they just stretched the rug over those spike strips and didn't staple or hammer. Hope it's okay. It looks nice. Will have to replace the vanity (they'll be back) when it comes in, and we have to purchase a wall-unit to replace the wrecked one. Looks nice with most of the stuff out in the POD. Wish he'd chuck it, but I think he is a hoarder and I never knew it.
Welcome back Laylla! Sorry about your winter, the COBRA, job situation, health, etc. Glad things are getting better.
I like your movie night with DS. Once in a while I have that with mine, he also gets Netflix. I'm jealous that you have him home. So sweet of him to get you 2 perfumes and you like them. Miss my kids. CB is doing okay, the other 2, not so much. Working like crazy but drowning in constant bills.
Doglover, the Vionics are on if you want to look.
Pepe's mom, hope the PT does the trick.
Janet, poor Benson. Stairs get hard, they get arthritis in their knees and hips like we do. We had to lift Barkley in and out of the car the last year, and towards the end, up and down the outside stairs.

The stress ain't over. Smoke detector in the basement just went off. Had to wake DH to check (I can't reach any of them). Couldn't find anything, TG. Now I am supposed to relax and sleep?

Layla, here is what I paid for what I got, think it is a good deal and with those reviews from here and on fragrancenet.com think I will like both.

As you can see I not only got the 3.4 oz. eau de parfum spray but also a body lotion and shower gel thrown in, not large sizes of the shower gel or body lotion but with the 3.4 ounce of the parfum itself think this is a very good deal.
From how it is described I do think I will like it and it is on it's way so, will post once I try both.
So glad to see you back here Layla and pop on more often. For nails I absolutely love Sally Hanson diamond strength. I now found by using Platinum as my base coat(can also just do coats of this, nice soft color) than my favorite to put over that is Lavender Marquise which ends up with a very very soft light pink. I also like brilliant over the platinum, more opalescent pink but the lavender marquise is my favorite of all her colors, give it a try.
Desi, Our basement is just a basement, no carpet, nothing on the walls, all concrete both the floor and the walls and only the wooden beams for the ceiling with all the wiring running all over that, plain old regular basement but at least now there is a commode and small vanity down there. Glad you are home. I didn't get to see the TSV shoe, missed TV all of today or should say yesterday since it is going on 1 AM now.
pepesmom, that was how I was to go, 3 times a week for 4 to 8 weeks but had to go once back to back and was hard that second night. I too felt the massages and electronic stimulation helped the most there and a warm Epsom salt bath soak at home also helps plus just letting the warm water set on pulse and let it beat on my back in the shower also helps. I was told to keep doing stretching exercises but not weight bearing ones other than the rubber band they gave me. Hope you are improving.
Janet, glad you like those chubby crayon eye liners, me too. I like that you can smudge or not depending on the look you want. I keep them sharpened but don't need too sharp a point if you smudge them which is mostly what I do although not every time. They sent my Wonderstruck, got a tracking notice so will post once I try both. For the price I think they are a very good deal and from reviews I think I will like them, hope so.
We just got a new Blu Ray DVD player and it gets Netflix but says I need an Ethernet cable or something like that, says it doesn't recognize one being there so, will have to see what that is now?
Our one dog can't get up on anything anymore other than the sofa in our family room using one step that DH made for her which is more like a wide platform since she is unstable. The sofa isn't a high one so with that one step/platform she can manage that on most days but that is about it anymore. She is also deaf and her sight isn't the best anymore. She gets 4 meds with her first meal, one in between the next meal than another one 1 to 1 1/2 hours before her last meal than 2 with her last meal. Her liver is enlarged and pushed her stomach up through the rib cage. She also has an enlarged heart. The meds she is on is for her heart, her stomach (to help keep food down and not throw up all the time) plus severe arthritis of almost every part of her body. She was in sad shape though when we got her at age 8 and is now 14 1/2 but is a happy little girl, wags all the time and is my constant shadow, so much so I fell over her twice so far. I really have to watch when I turn around or move. I can't even close the bathroom door tight unless she is in with me or she cries and scratches at the door till I come out. She follows me like she is glued onto my feet.

Doglover, sounds like a pretty good deal for the large size bottles. I saw Marshall's and TJs had some of her scents, not sure which.
Maybe it's better you missed the sandals since you weren't sure, and you'd have been tempted. I bet the video is up. Antonella looked really good. Her hair was straighter and darker and I liked her outfit. She totally disproved that theory that darker hair is aging, it looked more youthful IMO than all the blonde highlights.
I am back, that's for sure. Two rooms downstairs were flooded as well as the kitchen (which is where the water dripped down from). Amazingly, so far all that needed repairing upstairs was the floor of the kitchen cabinet where the pipe exploded. The kitchen floors did dry out with days of industrial dehumidifiers running non-stop for weeks up here and downstairs. The rugs had to go, they can grow mold, and the wood paneling in parts downstairs, plus the ceiling in both finished rooms in the basement and all the painted walls had to be repainted. The wall-unit was also ruined and the bathroom had to be redone. Maybe other stuff I am forgetting or that may still crop up. I think I would have gone totally insane being home this week. I don't handle any stress well, and workers around me would not be good. I was here for brief periods when they were here. Couldn't even park in the driveway.
