SSC Order Shipped UPS SurePost

I am deep into my obsession with Serious Skin Care on HSN. I used to use the line almost exclusively in the late 90s and have recently started again with the A line, and now I'm waiting for the C kit with the 8 oz bottle of SuperMel C to arrive.

Anyway, I've been tracking my order (shipped out the day after I placed it), and noticed that UPS SurePost is like the local train that stops at every station during rush hour. The package has made so many stops at UPS facilities in California, that I think it might heading up the Pacific by boat! I am so spoiled by Amazon Prime that it will be worth the $20 increase when I renew my membership next year. Too bad the Q and HSN don't offer this same type of service.

I saw your post and thought ""what is SurePost?"" Now I know! Was it free shipping or a reduced rate for them to opt for the Slow Boat To WriterLady route?

Re: SSC Order Shipped UPS SurePost

Maren, it was full-price shipping ($7.95) for the kit I ordered. The shipment originated somewhere in Tennessee, and has made three stops in California so far. Regular UPS from TN to where I am in Washington would probably be 3-4 days. SurePost seems to slow down the shipment before transfer to the post office, but doesn't give you a break on the shipping price. It seems like you can never escape the "angles" when it comes to shipping on the Q or HSN.

Re: SSC Order Shipped UPS SurePost

I'm used to being last in line up here in our corner of the country -- especially via UPS. But this combo UPS/USPS thing (which is fairly new to me) always to seem to make the process take longer. And ALWAYS with the products we're most eager to receive. :-)
