Any reviews on the SK-II Essence? I'm considering getting it but the $ is kinda steep. Would like to hear from users, good and bad reviews. Thanks.

Isn't SK-II what Cate Blanchett uses? She has an amazing complexion. Remember her as the elf queen in the Lord of the Rings? Beautiful skin, especially considering she isn't like 18.

Haven't tried it but I would also love to see reviews. Wonder what the claim to fame actives are.

The claim to fame is a water from fermented sake. Their trade name is Pietera. And yes, Cate Blanchett is their spokesperson. She always looks like she has perfect skin, but don't know how much air brushing has been done.

I've used sk-ii for about 6 years. I use the essense, the masks, the c-repair, wrinkle serum, stemcell cream, and foundation. It works on my skin, so i continue to use it. I haven't found a more consistent quality skin care line than sk-ii. The sales consultants are excellent and knowledgeable and depending upon where you purchase will provide facials with purchase.

Queeniesmom: unfortunately I live in an area that the closest counter is over 300 miles so I am going to have to order online without the help of a consultant. Am looking at ordering directly from the company. I see that there is some being sold on Amazon at cheaper cost, but I just don't trust that they are the real deal. I think I will just start with the essense and see how that goes. We're going into summer and my skin will be getting oily with the hot weather so if I would use a moisturizer it would need to be a very light one.

You can use the essence with any skin care line. I pour about a quarter size in my palm and press it into my face, including the eye area. I have enough for face, neck, and top of hands. The essence balances your skin and helps with cell turnover. Don't trust amazon, you're right about counterfit bottles.

Whatever happened to the battery operated airbrush foundation machine. What a gem that was!! I have mine but I can't seem to get the foundation to come out of the little packet on the inside. It deposited a fine mist of great coverage on the face, didn't stick to hairs and was the best airbrush foundation system I've tried. It was about as big as a large donut.

Thanks Queeniesmom. You have helped quite a lot.

Thanks to those who have shared their results -- and to the OP for reminding me of this line. Great reviews on Sephora.

I'm currently giddy with glee about my Skinn stuff, but when that inevitable lull occurs, I may consider this. The Sake is really different, and may give my skin a boost.
