I don't order beauty products from QVC unless not available at SEPHORA. I'm enough of a beauty junkie that each year I make VIB status that provides 2 day free shipping. If I want to purchase IT or Geller at ULTA, if order is over $50, no shipping there either. The best thing is I can go to either store and SEE the items before I purchase them so no hassle w/ returns and MORE shipping like the Q. The only time I order a beauty item from QVC is if it's something I already use & love, 2 or more easy pays and free shipping.

I think many of us subscribe to that way of purchasing items like that here. I know that deal wise, QVC is able to put together packages that NO other place has been able to. The savings can be substantial; for example, the Perricone TSV.... AMAZING price.

Other retailers offer better deals than Sephora. Free two day shipping is not enough for me to be monogamously loyal to any store.  Others give money off on the merchandise price, and still give free shipping. That's my kind show of appreciation for the business.  I'm never so anxious for anything that waiting up to a week would be a deal breaker.

For the first time in many, many, many years I am not a VIB.

This past year I missed the minumum spend by less than $10 and they dropped me.

I COULD have spent the the few $$ but I was curious what would happen and how well they valued loyal customers.......now I know.

I became a Sephora shopper back when there was only a few Sephoras in the country  and well before Ulta.  Back then they had a lot of exclusive deals and products, now not so much.

@Abrowneyegirl, on that subject I am a Rouge.  It was a fluke and won't happen next year, but I got an email for a beauty insider event, to be able to go into the store early and get 4x points.  I hope that that is not instead of the 20% discount they usually do because really, their points are worthless...you get a sample of something with them.  They really do nothing to try to keep their customers when there are so many other places to shop.

I find if you shop at the companies websites you get much better deals. Just ordered some TARTE stuff and got 30% off when they had friends and family. Too faced regularly runs 20% off. I left some stuff in my carte on TARTE and they sent me a email yesterday saying I forgot to check out here is a 15% off code. I don't know if urban decay does these sales. But if you sign up with some of these companies and get emails they have big sales often.

I think the points thing at Sephora is a joke. And people always scream about Ulta but Sephora is the same way and never has sales for regular customers. Because the mgf doesn't allow it.

For Sephora's VIB status, you get a one-time free shipping offer that must be used within 60 days after achieving VIB status.  Nothing is said about free shipping the entire time you have VIB status nor that it's two-day shipping.   From the Sephora site:

"BEAUTY INSIDER TERMS & CONDITIONS

9. Free Shipping VIB Welcome Offer

New VIB members, and VIB members who requalify for VIB will receive a Free Standard Shipping offer. Offer valid for one-time use 60 days after date of issuance online in the U.S. and Canada. Not valid on international shipments or on jcpenney.com. Not valid for cash or cash equivalent. No adjustments on previous purchases. Offer is non-transferable. Cannot be combined with any other offers or employee discount. Offer subject to change, alteration, or termination by Sephora in its sole discretion at any time."
