I have roacea in my eyes and on my face. I wash my eyes twice a day with baby shampoo, use an antibiotic cream on my eyelash line, bausch & lome eye relief drops. I use rosewater and glycerine spray on my face after washing it with a gentle soap, then apply marula oil, CeraVe in the tub, or both, depending on how dry my skin is,to my face and follow up with It cc cream spf 50. Where my skin has blotches of red, I cover them with bye bye under eye concealer. I have used rx stuff on my face, but they all seemed to make my dry flaky skin even worse so I stopped using them. I find these products don't upset my skin, but everyones skin is different. Took me a long long time to figure out what was good for me, so I wish you luck!!

@bosmamaa - you don't mention your age or how long you've been "suffering" -- thru decades of trial and error, I've found that my rosacea was mostly stress-related.  I assume that because since I retired and left my super stressful job, my rosacea is gone.  Almost.  None of the medications I took over the years helped at all.

I also stay on a healthy diet, fairly bland, with no hot, spicey foods. Experimenting with different cosmetics and skin care over the years, I've found products that keep my complexion healthy but do not irritate my skin.  It's taken me 30+ years to get to this point, so good luck to ya!

Or, there is the possibility that rosacea goes away with old age....?

I can't say I have rosacea, but I do use a cleanser that is designed for those who do.

There's a whole line of products by Paula's Choice.  Reviews are favorable,

Thanks so much for the replies!  I'm 57 and my rosacea isn't horrible unless I experiment too much, and I tend to want to because I am pretty much a product junkie! But summertime & stress are bad for me. I have tried the calm line from Paulas Choice and it burned like crazy!! Also Finacea & Metro Gel didn't help much. Oh and yes, my eyes ARE  effected which probably bothers me more than anything. Probably need to find a different Dr for that!

Sometimes mine gets bad, but it disappears pretty quickly.

Here's what I've been doing for a long time and I think it helps.

I keep my face clean with warm water and micro-wash cloths, then I use Dr. Denese's firming facial pads, then I use Hydroshield.

I do this every night and just wash my face and use Hydroshield in the morning (no facial pads in the morning).  This works for me.

I am Scotch/Irish with American Indian.  You'd never know it by looking at me but my skin is actually very light.  I get so tired of people sometimes saying, "Are you OK?"  I can feel the heat and the little bumps, then it quickly disappears.

This is my first post ever!  I have had rosacea for 15 to 20 years.  Meds did not help much.  Check out Paula Begoun's website for good advice.  I've used her 2% Beta hydroxy liquid exfoliater for about ten years and it changed my life.  No joke.  All her products are good.  She is now available on QVC.  I started out with her suggested routine for rosacea, but have tweaked it to this:  Currently I'm cleansing with Purity Made Simple, followed by the Paula's Choice product.  (I just put a small amount on my hands and spread it over my skin.  It's magic!)  Then I follow with Josie Maran oil (regular, not light)  I find that the less I do to my skin the better.  For cosmetics I love Pur Minerals.  I use their green primer.  With a little concealer (currently It cosmetics) on  most days my 62 year old face could face the world, but I usually finish off with Pur Minerals 4 in 1 powder and some mineral blush.  I get compliments all the time inton my "good skin"--which I never knew I had.  I've found that a good routine keeps my skin calmed down.  Wish I'd known about the Paula's choice and Pur Minerals products years ago.  I hope this might help someone else.

Metrogel and clinomycine work well for flares for me. I have to be very careful using a new product (or even a new bottle of a good product-go figure).

No scrubbies for me, but Tatcha indigo hasnt hurt my skin.

It's different for each person.

Paulas choice is a great line. The skin recovery toner and products are great. I also like the 2 percent liguid but you may not be able to tolerate it.  The calm line I am still on the fence. Always use the toner before anything. Also I use the green toner forgot the name safe for babies. That helps keep skin calm. Also use oil argan or hers and hyluonic acid very soothing.
