I was at Ulta over the weekend and I bought the NYX Proof It! Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer. What I wanted it for was to try it under my eyes as a waterproof primer for eyeliner that I put there. I mainly use eye pencils and ALL of them fade and/or smear.
However... with this product under my eyes, my liner totally stays put! NO smearing or smudging, NO fading or creasing into fine lines. This has a doefoot applicator. What I've been doing is using a skinny eyeliner brush, touching the tip of the brush to the product on the applicator and then applying it to my undereye area in a strip where I would put my eyeliner pencil. I let it dry and then use my pencil as normal. I love it!! I have tried SO many different pencils, pots, shadows, etc. etc. for that area and this is the first time that something has worked for ALL day!! I will not be without it now.

@JuLee Does this come in a pan? Do you think it can be used successfully above the eyes? I have serious darkening and redness over my eyes (and some under the eyes) that I need to cover before I apply eye makeup, or else it won't show, and I just look like a dead person! I've been using Mally's eyeshadow base, but I'd like to find a cheaper alternative, and maybe one that's in a different shade than the one she offers.

Yes 2blonde, it is called Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer. It's a pretty safe bet that it will.

2blonde, This is a clear primer and it comes in a tube with a doefoot applicator, kind of like a little lip gloss. This won't help cover any discolorations.
NYX does have 4 other eyeshadow primers. They are called "Eye Shadow Base". One is a white base, one is a nude type color, one is black (all matte) and the other has a white pearl type finish. I use the white above my eyes as an eyeshadow base and I really like it.
