Returns to Ulta without a receipt?

Has anyone done this? When they had their liter sale I bought a Redken conditioner and really liked it, I then bought another bottle. Now every inch of skin my hair touches is broken out (badly). Of course I can't find a receipt. Is this just a lost cause? They're website says you have to have a receipt , but I'm wondering if they have a way to look it up. I have the member rewards card and I did use my credit card. Any info would be really helpful!
