Anyone using Retinal, supposedly a more potent form of Vit A  than Retinol, but not as potent at Tretinoin.

@Shelbelle  - I'm using the Naturium retinal product - 0.15%.  It's not real strong but seems to be fine for me.

@Shelbelle - I use prescription Tretinoin at night but I recently purchased the new Numbuzin No. 9 NAD+ Retinal Volumetox Eye Cream.  Besides the under eye, it can be used other places like lids, lip rim, smile lines.  I have no problem with it and use it during the day too.

I also have Abib Retinal Eye Patches but haven't opened them yet.

Are you using these eye products in add to the Perlier Youth Creator for Eye ?

Yes, @Shelbelle.  The way I look at it, the Youth Creator is a serum so I'd still add an eye cream over it.  And the under eye patches, I don't expect miracles, probably just some extra hydration, but we'll see.  Eye patches are just occasional use when I feel like playing "DIY spa day".

@Shelbelle  Yes ...   I use Tretinoin one or two nights and then use Retinaldehyde the next night.   I'm using Medik8 strength 24, which is their highest (they have many steps).  I worked my way up starting with 6 which was no problem for me at all since I had been using PTR PM Retinol for YEARS!   I also use Paula's Choice Pro Retinaldehyde.

I recently purchased the Prequel in the #2 strength (they have 1 & 2),  and will try that as soon as I've used up one of my other Retinals.

I use either patches or what is designated as a cream eye mask once  week. right now using Korres Olive Oil Eye Mask, a cream. Prior to that I used one from Elemis.

Tretinoin. And I mix it with high percent vitamin c serum and a dash of Differin gel. I have done so for many years and cycle it, two months on 4 months off and repeat. I have never had trouble. I don’t and won’t use sunscreen but rather I stay out of the sun for the last 15 years or wear a hat if I’m out in it for gardening etc. I think it’s an individual choice for those using Tretinoin - my dose is the highest percent and it’s perfect for me. Forehead to lower chest and on the back of my neck. No issues. But that’s just my experience. Not recommending it to anyone else.

It works faster than retinol. But it’s also more gentle. I use naturium .1%

Using any type of retinoid on the eyelids or on the under-eye areas is not a good idea. Retinoids can interfere with the meibomian glands which supply oil lubricant for the eyes. Retinoids disrupt the oil production and can cause meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) which is a leading cause of dry eye disease.

If you insist on applying a retinoid to the eye area, limit the application to the under-eye area only and keep it at least one-quarter of an inch away from the bottom lash line.
