Repleneshing Mist Help Needed

I have purchased the POM repleneshing mist & am trying to figure out how to use it. I have fine, color treated hair that is below my shoulders. I thought I could use it on day 2 or 3 hair to refresh my style. To me this meant spray it on my dry hair & let it dry & I could refresh my bangs, hair with little work, kind of like a dry shampoo. When I spray it, it doesn't really "dry" & kind of makes my hair feel oily. Any suggestions on how to use? Thanks!
