Hi all. I was wondering if any of you use the remoist on your hair without cleansing first. I know Chaz says to cleanse first then remoist. But I cleanse in the morning before work and wouldn't be able to put the remoist on until nighttime. Do you need to put the remoist in right after cleansing, or would it be ok to put it on dry hair at night after cleansing in the morning? Thanks for your help.

Hi Arianny

yes, you can use the remoist on dry hair but I highly recommend you use it on wet hair after cleansing and leaving it on as long as possible....I do my remoist treatments on weekends.

From the beginning of using the remoist I always used it on dry hair and was happy with the results. I now use it after cleansing but I would use it on dry hair if need be.

Hi bruingirl! How long can you leave the remoist on and can you go out and run errands without looking like you have anything in your hair? I was thinking I could do a remoist treatment tomorrow since I cleanse my hair later in the afternoon on Saturdays, but I wouldn't be able to rinse it out until Sunday morning. And I usually am out going about my Saturday the rest of the day. What are your thoughts on that? Thank you for responding!

Thanks Beaches! I may try it on dry hair and see how that works for me.

You can leave Remoist in for as long as you are willing to go without washing your hair.

I've never put styling products in over Remoist, so I can't say my hair looks great with it in, but it doesn't ever look greasy or dirty. If nothing else, you could always put your hair in a ponytail or a bun that afternoon.

Thanks Chynna - yes, I guess putting it in a bun would be best so I wouldn't have to worry about how it looks.

Hi Arianny

If you do a remoist tomorrow afternoon and run errands I would suggest wearing your hair in a bun with a soft scrunchie...or in a twist with a clip...nothing too tight though. And yes rinse, rinse, rinse on Sunday morning.

Arianny, I think it would probably be fine to cleanse your hair in the morning and then do a remoist at night.

I'd suggest that you wet your hair first. It makes it easier to apply the remoist and you don't need to use as much. Some people "prime" their hair with CC first before adding the remoist (in Wen 101, there's a thread on this in the re-moist section).

Like bruingirl, I always do my remoist treatments on the weekends and try to keep the re-moist on as long as possible (12-24 hours). -- If I absolutely have to run an errand I just put on a baseball cap. {#emotions_dlg.blush}

Enjoy!!!

I feel like I wasted money on this product. I like Wen, use it exclusively. But, who has time to wash their hair, put on this product, spend the night, or spend the day leaving it on?? Then you have to wash your hair again.

I don't have such a luxury. I'll use the oils as I have and sleep in it. But at least I don't have to wash my hair first. I'm very annoyed about this product.

Another thing. I've tried it twice and didn't notice any difference from the oils. I would warn anyone on the fence, save your money.
