As long as you use the right shade of red for your skin tone and you don't get it on your teeth, it's fine.

Exactly! Wear it at any age and wear it well.

I'm 60 and wear red lipstick all the time! Sometimes I'll wear a sheer berry red and sometimes a more opaque shade of red. I discovered Bite Beauty lipstick last year. They have gorgeous rich opaque shades which look good with my olive skin tone and dark hair.

Now a nude lipstick on the other hand makes me look sick and so washed out!

A forgiving red that almost anyone can wear is Medieval by Lipstick Queen.

red is classic at any age. now, this would be a look that's reserved for the under 27 crowd.

I like a more sheer red during the day, and a more opaque red at night or when wearing formal attire. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

Age doesn't matter ... at least not that much !! {#emotions_dlg.unsure}

IMO ~ Look for Lipstick shades that Whiten your Teeth & go with your skin undertone you will always look your best...If the shade of lipstick is not right for you in any shade it can make your smile & skin look too washed out & you will look older.

See That Makeup Matches her Grey complexion...she could use a little Blush.

I think the answer is almost unanimous and I agree - find a good red and rock it. But I would add: don't forget a good lip liner, especially if you have any little vertical lines around your mouth.

To ease into a red lip, maybe use a lip liner slightly darker than your natural lip color, color in your whole lip and then brush the red on with a lip brush. That will help you control how much color you get and where you put it.

Enjoy!
