Recs for dark spot remover for face

Asking for my sister, who doesn't watch QVC but has listened to me tell her how smart you all are.  What dept. store/drug store products would you say are best for getting rid of age/sun spots on the face?  She prefers this to a prescription product.  Any other advice is also appreciated.  Thanks.

This one. It has two very effective ingredients to help fade dark spots. It's top rated. Find it on Alpha Skin Care's website at NeotericCosmetics dot com or at Ulta.

Dual Action Fade Cream with Hydroquinone & 10% AHA, 0.85 OZ

Hydroquinone is a popular ingredient for this.  Alpha Skincare makes a dark spot corrector. The line of products can be found in various drugstores, big box stores, and supermarkets, but they don’t always carry every product in the line.  You can order direct from the company too.

Is this used as a cream all over the face or just on dark spots?

@JudyL

It's a spot treatment. This is what Alpha says on their website:

"HOW TO USE: Adults: apply a thin layer on the affected areas twice daily, or as directed by a doctor. If no improvement is seen after 3 months of treatment, discontinue use."

2% Hydroquinone is not going help which is in this and the highest percentage of hydrquinone you can get over the counter.....you need at least 4% which is only available either by prescription OR on some shady websites that you pay to see THEIR doctor to get a prescription for an over priced product.

4% Hydroquinone is still the gold standatd for fading skin suggested by derm docs. I do think you can find 4% online if you try with out RX.  Used intensively it can fade in 3 months, then you stop using it.  And of course, keep the treated area out of the sun !!!

There's a Rx cream called Triluma which is specifically formulated for dark spots...it has 4% HQ + tretinoin + steroid. You can buy it w/o a Rx from AllDayChemist.
