Re: Recs for a Sheer Finish Powder, Not Matte, pls

@FLgardener  If you want just a bit of sheen then I would give BM Hydrating Veil a try.

Becca Cosmetics has one out that I received a nice sized sample of, and I love it. I also love Cover FX...

I use Bobbi Brown finishing powder. It's translucent. No glitter, glow. It is not matt. It just sets your makeup but seems to just make your skin look better. I've never seen another product like it. Works for me.

The most unique, titanium dioxide-free powder I have found is by 100%Pure Bamboo Finishing powder.

Looks good Woman Happy @LTT1 . I think Qvc sold 100% Pure cosmetics at one time. I remember there was an Asian woman who was the rep for the brand. She use to show how fruit pigments were used for coloring some their stuff...so natural.

The bamboo powder is the loose type and adds absolutely no color. However, it does exactly what it is supposed to do...”set” my liquid m/u.

I take a bamboo silica supplement in a powder form. It's pure white and very lightweight stuff. I also use a mattifying powder with silica in it, though I'm not sure of it's origin. @LTT1

I’d like to investigate that white silica powder.

Wonder if it would work for the face?

That could be a possibility for use on the face as setting powder. But I think it would need some mortar and pestle treatment to mill it down to a finer powder. The way it comes in the bag is not quite as fine as most cosmetic grade powders and it might feel a bit grainy or rough on your face...needs grinding to make it finer. @LTT1
