Received 1st Birchbox....so not impressed

I'm sorry I didn't listen to what other people were saying. It just seemed that there might be slightly more good boxes than bad boxes and I have seen two youtube videos plus a post on these boards and some July boxes seemed pretty decent.....not mine!

This is what I received: my extras were the earbuds which everyone seemed to get (I like those), a LARABAR (not exciting) &....wait for it....DIRT Luxe Salt Scrub (really????). Then in the wrapped package (it doesn't really get much better) I received theBalm Stainiac (didn't people get that in June?), ADA Cosmetics Peach Bronzer (it's in a little mineral container) and a Harvey Prince perfume sample that stinks.

I've heard and seen people this month get Laura Geller Lipstick, Stila Lip Gloss, Ahava products, Bocia products, Jouer tinted moisturizer, etc.

Am I being too critical? Would you have been happy with this box especially being your 1st box?

Were the earbuds worth $10? DIRT salt scrub...I just have to say again....really??
