Ready Foundation Questions

This is really crazy and I cannot figure out why it happened. I opened my compact of my Ready Foundation yesterday morning and it was cracked and in a lot of pieces. Please note, it has never dropped and is used once a day in the morning and put back into my make up drawer. Also, I live alone so no one could have dropped it and not let me know.

Has this happened to anyone else? I was floored when I opened up the compact yesterday and it was cracked.
