Reaction from a moisturizer(Facial)

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what to do?? I tried a new facial night time moisturizer (Target Brand Name) on my face last night. This morning I got up and my face was beet red and it hurt!! I had to go to work - so I did my best to try to cover it. Now, tonight it is alittle less red but it still hurts. Needless to say that moisturizer got the toss! Is there something I should be putting on my face to help this heal quicker?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!
