My last haircut was a razor cut (I have short hair) and it's the best I have seen my hair looking in a while.  I love the back because I had her razor it really thin at the bottom (I brought in a picture) but I wanted to share this with you.  Women with long, curly or thick hair will benefit with a razor cut.  It will end the frizzies according to an article I read.  So check it out.  I like Kris Jenner's hair and I found out she has a razor cut.  I saw all these pictures of so many celebrities with razor cuts.  I feel like I am the last to know.  Cat Very Happy

I don’t allow anyone to cut my hair with a razor. The razor shaves the hair shaft instead of cutting the ends blunt like a scissor. It splits the ends.  My hair is poker straight.

if you wear your hair super short, that would probably be okay, because you get frequent haircuts and the hair will lay closer to your head.

if you wear your hair longer, it might not be a good idea unless you want that shaggy look.  It’s not a good method when you’re letting your hair grow out or for most people with curly long hair.

Never let a stylist cut your hair with a razor unless your hair is really wet.

It is a good cutting method for specific hair styles.  I am glad it worked for you.  It sounds like your stylist knows her stuff.  Many stylists do not know how to cut with a razor well.  You need use a new razor on each client...many stylists don’t.

Haven't had a razor cut since I got out of school (and could previously only afford to go to the $2 barber shop)

Yup I wear my hair in a short pixie (longer on top and spikey). My gal uses scissors all over but uses a razor to clean up the back of my neck.

I wear my hair short. I have it buzz cut around the ears and about two inches up on the neck in the back. The top is longer, sometimes sort of spiked with longish bangs.

Wash and go, always looks neat and I like it this way. Never had a problem with this type of cut.

I like a razor cut. I have stick straight hair & I love to hear that "zip zip zip" sound the razor makes.

My stylist does use a sharp blade. I don't know if she changes it every time, but she has mentioned that she needs a sharp blade for each cut.

Razor cuts are not recommended for curly hair. The ends are left shredded and too thin to form complete curls. My stylist uses scissors only.....no razors or thinning shears.

For the first time in many many years my stylist (new) used a razor cut for the back bottom part of my hair (I wear it short) because I have issues with it sticking out otherwise.  This way it is laying better.  Not for all style types I'm sure, but it worked good for me.

I cut my husband hair and always use a straight razor without a guard to clean up his neck and ears.  I have been cutting his hair since he was 16.

i can also shave a man’s face with the razor too.  I used to practice with shaving cream on a balloon blown up to full capacity.

That actually is not true about long, curly, thick hair. My hair is all of those  and razor cuts are the worst thing in the world for my hair!!!  Razor cutting makes it extremely frizzy.
