I just got around to watching my recorded show of RMS from Tuesday. Firstly, why show the items on models so young? It's difficult to see how products may look on older/dryer skin.

Secondly, the tinted moisturizer spf 30 was applied in a very small amount...certainly not recommended by derms which is to apply at least 1/4 tsp. or 2 fingers worth. It also was not applied to the neck. Those models will regret that at 45-60. Yes just a demo but it could have been mentioned.

Since Rose-Marie lives in very hot and sunny Savannah GA I'm surprized she didn't put a higher spf in that serum/tint/moisturizer. I'd have to layer another sunscreen (I use spf 50) underneath, so what's the point of purchasing an extra RMS product?

@Shanus  - Agree with you re how the tinted moisturizer was applied.  QVC hosts and models do that with all tinted moisturizers with spf.  They never mention how much you are supposed to put on.  Her other products weren't applied enough so that you could see them on camera.  Maybe you could in person but not to those watching.  Also, she does have a product that has spf50.  I have it but it's in the other room and I can't remember the name.

You should never use your makeup as a sunscreen. Just think of it as added protection. You have to use to much to get right protection and it won’t look good. Your probably ok if your just running errands in and out of your car. But if your going to be sitting in sun always wear a separate sunscreen and don’t rely on your makeup.

I use that product as my main foundation not as a sunscreen

@Shanus I agree with you wholeheartedly about her presentation of her supernatural tinted spf 30.  The funnier thing about it and what you noted is that in the item on the Q's website her 'pro tip' is to use the recommended two finger length application of the product - certainly not what she demonstrates.
I do have to say I have this product and it really is a nice illuminating product; however you do have to use it sparingly - which I do OVER my spf 50 or higher sunscreen.
Quite honestly, I NEVER not use my spf 50 or higher on my face before any makeup application.

Any cosmetic item touting it has spf is great but you do not use it all over your complexion, if you're applying makeup correctly that is.  I'm sure you agree. ☺️

@fitfuninformed   My spf 50 is fine under any makeup. SPF in makeup doesn't count IMHO unless you're going to put on the two fingers of foundation which not many women can wear.

I have two sunscreens so I can do a tinted on my face and a clear on my neck and chest.

I agree in principle, but the higher spf foundations I've tried, that have physical not chemical spfs, all have a very heavy feel (to me). I don't want chemical spf.

So it's a bummer not to be able to use just one product but I use the RMS product (which I love) over another spf. Or, a brush-on powder spf on top. I have Peter Thomas Roth's spf45  and it's kind of old but is still fine, bc it's a powder. Works great.
