RMS Beauty Question

[ Edited ]

@JeanLouiseFinch  - hope you don't mind but I have a couple questions.  Do you use the Hydra Setting Powder?  Also, do you use the new Hydra Concealer or UnConcealer (think thats the name, comes in a pot)?  If you use one of the concealers, do you mind me asking which shade?  How do you like these products?  A long time ago I tried the Unconcealer but don't remember shade or what I thought of it. Thinking of making some changes and saw an in-depth tutorial on YT with Rose Marie and Glam Girl Gabi on the concealers, application, powders, etc.  It was a great tutorial from about 3 months or so ago.

Also looks like RMS has a new product launching on 1/13 - an undereye corrector, I think.  I'll probably try it.

If anyone else who uses these products wants to chime in, please don't hesitate.

@JudyL  If I may ask.......do you have a BlueMercury near you? They carry her products and are very helpful.

Hey @JudyL -

No, I don't use the Hydra Setting Powder.  I have other options so never felt the need to purchase it.  Most of the time, though, I'll use a little Bare Minerals Original Pressed Foundation.  When my whole face is done I mist with either Milani or NYX setting spray.

I've been curious about the Hydra Concealer but haven't tried it. I came close to ordering last night but the one I thought might be my shade sold out quickly.  Choosing shades is always a guessing game for me.   When I went crazy building my RMS collection, I ordered the UNconcealer in #22 and #22.5.  Honestly I don't use it much, foundation is usually enough for me, but one of the tricks is to warm it up between two fingers and lightly tap.

I'm partial to IT Bye Bye Dark Spot Concealer for brightening that area.  It's pretty much a staple and I have repurchased often.  I'd still be interested in learning about the new RMS product.

Thank you @JeanLouiseFinch - Wish I could find a powder.  Have so many but not one that I really like.  Same with concealers.  Have tried so many and can't ever seem to find one that works so now 99% of the time, I just go without.

I love the Doll 10 Yellow Powder, if you have any redness in your skin, this one is for you. Also mattifies.

Talk about timing, @JudyL!  I just received a text from RMS for VIP access to the new under eye corrector.  The shades shown are a little scary but they are flexible.  I would use the Cherish and it looks dark and way too peachy in the picture.  RM has a demo attached to the listing. She used the cherish and it looks fine on her.  $50 is a lot to spend on speculation.  I might have a coupon code and a small credit to apply.  Not sure but thinking about it.

@JeanLouiseFinch  - I agree that $50 is a lot to spend on this product but when I do apply concealer, the blueness under my eyes still show through.  I'm willing to try it in the hope that maybe, finally, hopefully, I will have found a corrector that I can use.

Have you tried using a yellow concealer to hide the blueness, Benefit had one called Lemonaid.  It is now DISC but a few on ebay. I am also thinking the Doll 10 yellow powder could help the blueness too.

@Shelbelle  - I have a concealer that has some yellow in it and it looks awful on me.  At least I think it does.  Is probably just too light/wrong shade.  Don't know why I'm going down the concealer rabbit hole again.  Every time I do, it doesn't work out, and I swear never again.  LOL
