Question for @JeanLouiseFinch and @SilleeMee re Lab Direct Vitamin C.  

I'm used to using Timeless Vit C and applying it first in my morning routine.  Since the Lab Direct is oil based, can I still do that?  Being an oil based product won't applying it first interfere with the absorption of other products?

The Lab Direct VC Serum is not an oily product. The amount of the oil-based VC is small yet effective. Just apply as you would any other VC serum.

@SilleeMee - thank you for clarifying that for me.  Also, I did some research online on the type of Vit C that this product has in it.  Last week ordered another of my usual Vit C but once I'm done with that, will try this one.  Have ordered a few bottles.

@SilleeMee - thank you for clarifying that for me.  Also, I did some research online on the type of Vit C that this product has in it.  Last week ordered another of my usual Vit C but once I'm done with that, will try this one.  Have ordered a few bottles.

I agree.  If you didn't know, you couldn't tell there was any type of oil. For me, it goes on first after my AM cleanse, or cocktailed with my Perlier Pearls of Youth Serum. .

Same Vit C that Sunday Riley uses .  I bought Lab Direct C cream and serum, not tried either yet.

Has anyone tried the lab direct Level-Up Firming Collagen? saw it on a shopLC ad since I purchased the power vitamin c from them before.

I missed the sale yesterday coz I was going to check out their other products to get to $50. I have unopened power C from my last purchase, still working on Isomers bottle of C.

@FLGators I have not tried this.  From what I understand, if something causes your skin to create more if its own collagen, that's great, or take it internally in bone broth for instance, but don't believe products that actually contain collagen for topical applications.  The collagen molecules in those products are too big to penetrate the skin.  There may be some surface moisturizing but that's probably all.  That's how I think they work anyway.

Proteins in general (includes collagen and peptides) have an affinity for water. Whenever skin has more water it becomes firmer by nature. That's just how it works.

Earlier today the question was asked about the shelf life of The Lab Direct VC Serum. My response to that question was incorrect in saying it was 3 years. That should be 2 years for the shelf life. Sorry for the error.

ETA-

Shelf life for a typical VC serum is usually only about 6 to 12 months. But the Lab Direct is no ordinary VC serum and 2 years is a very long time.
