Ladies, I hope you can help me with something. My copper red color fades so fast and I cannot find a demi color that is copper (not violet red) so that I can refresh my color without damaging my hair.

So, my question is, if I have a favorite color of permanent box hair dye, and replace the standard 20volume delveloper with 10 volume, would that make it demi instead and therefore be able to be used more often?

I ask because if you go to sally's, all the demi colors seem to be mixed with 10 volume, so I wondered if the "demi" or "permanent" factor is in the color or the developer?
