@Shanus Morning! Quick question... can someone with blue eyes wear pink eyeshadow's? Mally had a couple of eyeshadow sticks the other night that I thought were very pretty; came in neutrals and pinks. I already own the neutrals, but it seems I don't know how to wear the pinks. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

@Effie54 For myself and many others, pink shadow is tough to wear.
As we age, the whites of our eyes naturally yellow and INHO, pinks don't help with this. It may work if the pink is muted or a dusty pink with a taupe base, but I still always add liner to keep the pink away from the eye...usually navy liner which always whitens the eyes.
Without liner, you can look like you have "pink eye", tired, sick or like a bunny.

OMG - that's so true. Yes, I agree..... when I wore pink in the past, I did look like I had bunny eyes. It never really worked for me. The Mally shades I was looking at would give me the pink eye look, so I'm going to pass in them. I have a taupe based color that I might try with Laura Geller's Eye Rimz as a liner. Thank you Shanus! ❤️

@Effie54 Sorry I missed your post yesterday. Hope you enjoy the taupe shades.
If you ever want to try a pinkish shade, you can combine it with a neutral light beige/taupe to tone down the pink and change the pink to be more wearable.
Enjoy your Sunday.

Thanks Shanus. I'm definitely going to try that. Seems like a great idea.

If there is one bandwagon I will never get on, it's pink shadow. I just now put two shades of pink blush on and it looks like someone hit me in both eyes. When I see this on TV I think it looks ghastly on most women.

Been thinking about this pink eye shadow subject. Especially when I recently spotted a well-known actress with medium-to-dark pink eye shadow, and I thought it unflattering.
@Shanus(or anyone, what do you think?)
What I find is that if you use a shade of pink (a tad deeper than your skin tone) in the crease -- and not on the lid itself or under the eye -- that it actually works very very nicely.

I get the idea of asking if something will work or look good but the bottom line is when you look in the mirror how do you think it looks. Whether it is colors or style of applying, if you don't think it looks good on you don't wear it; on the other hand, if it is something you read saying you can't wear it but you think it looks great, wear it. Unless somebody is seeing you in person and says "yikes" or that "looks great" there is no way for anybody to really be able to determine if it will look good on you. JMO of course.

@Harpa Apologies for missing your "mention". I like a a one or two shades darker than skin tone in the crease and slightly above. This means a pinky peach to have that color. If you have darker skin, a taupey/pink would work.
I notice that pink is a very difficult color to wear. It can also fight with the shade of your blush and make your face look too flushed all over especially if you also have natural redness in your skin.
Years ago, I had the Urban Decay 3 (I think that's the one) palette. Most of the shades were in the pink family. After a month trying to make it work, I decluttered it.
Most women use a primer or concealer to cover the pink/red or veins on their lids. Why add the pink back to them?
I think @Wsmom has a good point. With any makeup you need to take a look in the mirror and make that decision. If you like it, go with it. I always stand by "you do you".
