Question about razors for face shaving...

[ Edited ]

Not too long ago, I purchased these Tinkle razors (Amazon) for shaving peach fuzz on my face.  My question is - how many times should I use each one before discarding?

I've read some use it once and then discard.  It's still sharp after one use.  I've used the same one several times.   When should I toss it?

I got those Tinkle razors and IMO they are great!  Never thought of using it only once?? and then tossing it??  I know that they're cheap but I have used mine multiple times for upper lip and it's still very sharp.

I would only toss when it's not doing the job or if it looks rusty.

@San Antonio Gal I have actually used these and found them rough on my face.  I was wondering if there is something better. Do you find they irritate your face?

What about using an electric razor? Like a Panasonic or something similar. Nothing to throw away.

I've tried this type (not this brand) of defuzzer and wasn't really happy with it.  Do you use something to wet your face first? Moisturizer? Cleanser? I tried it on dry skin, so maybe that was my problem.

I use the Finishing Touch Flawless Hair Remover.  Runs forever on a  AA battery and works really well.  I only have to do mine once a week, no irritation at all.

@Sooner  - They do not irritate my face.  Hopefully there will be some good suggestions on this thread for you.

@shoesnbags  - I thought it was supposed to be used on a clean dry face.  Maybe using with a moisturizer would help you?

Re: Question about razors for face shaving...

@San Antonio Gal  I was using this brand as well until

I was at Tj maxx and picked up a brand by Kitsch

i did not realize how rough the Tinkle ones were

until trying a different brand.  I usually do 3 uses,

then I toss. On the nights I do the shave I follow it up

with the Avene Cicalfate to head off any irritation

@San Antonio Gal

I use mine until I can tell it's no longer working like it should.
